Every Adopt Me Egg (2026): Current, Retired & What Hatches

Adopt Me has released more than forty eggs since pets arrived on 15 June 2019. Most of them are gone: every themed egg leaves the Gumball Machine a few months after it appears and becomes trade-only, which is why "what was in the Aztec Egg" and "what is in the Retired Egg" are questions people keep asking long after the eggs left.

This is the complete list, sorted by whether you can still buy the egg. Dates, prices and hatch chances come from the Adopt Me! Wiki as of 8 September 2026. Where we sell a pet that an egg used to give, the price at our Adopt Me shop is noted with the date, because those prices move.

A disclosure up front: BloxUltra sells Adopt Me pets for real money, delivered by in-game trade. That is relevant to the "hatch it or buy it" question at the end and nowhere else in this guide.

How eggs work (the short version)

• •Eggs are the main way to get pets. Each egg has a rarity and a set of hatch chances across Common, Uncommon, Rare, Ultra-Rare and Legendary.
• •You hatch an egg by completing tasks, or skip the tasks with the Hatch Now gamepass at 35 Robux per egg.
• •Themed eggs cost 750 Bucks in the Gumball Machine in the Nursery's Pets section, stay for a few months, then leave. After that they exist only through trading.
• •Egg colour never affects what hatches; the egg type does.

Eggs you can buy right now

The four permanent eggs

The Cracked, Pet and Royal eggs share one current pool. On the legendary line that pool holds the Ancient Dragon and the Dragonfly, with Robot, Swordfish and Alicorn on the ultra-rare line. The three eggs differ only in odds and price.

The Retired Egg is the one people search for. When the three permanent eggs were refreshed on 21 July 2022, every pet from their old versions moved here: the Unicorn (legendary), Shiba Inu and Dragon (ultra-rare), Bunny, Rabbit, Snow Puma and Red Panda (rare), Fennec Fox, Puma, Snow Cat and Beaver (uncommon), and Cat, Dog, Otter and Chocolate Labrador (common). If you want the original 2019 Unicorn or Dragon without trading for one, this is still the way.

The Ticket eggs (Pet Releaser)

Added on 12 September 2025 with the Pet Releaser: you release pets from your inventory - permanently - for Tickets, and spend Tickets on two eggs.

• •Basic Egg - 400 Tickets. Odds are heavily common (59.75% Common, 0.26% Legendary). Its pool rotates.
• •Crystal Egg - 4,000 Tickets. No commons or uncommons at all: 50% Rare, 44% Ultra-Rare, 6% Legendary. Its rotating pool has included former Robux pets, bait pets and Retired Egg pets, plus the Golden and Diamond Dragon, Griffin and Unicorn.

The Crystal Egg is the closest thing to a "guaranteed good pet" egg that Bucks or Tickets can buy, which is why its search volume is climbing.

The current limited egg: Fairytale Egg

Released 29 August 2026, replacing the Endangered Egg, at 750 Bucks in the Gumball Machine. Its pets: Three Blind Mice (legendary), Little Lamb and Huntsman Robin (ultra-rare), Granny Wolf and Crimson Cape (rare), Princess Mare and Clumpty (uncommon), Pinkypillar and Budgie Witch (common). Odds are 35% Common, 30% Uncommon, 20% Rare, 12% Ultra-Rare, 3% Legendary.

Every themed egg before it has left after a few months. If you want a Three Blind Mice from the egg rather than from a trade, the window is now.

Star Reward eggs (free, but slow)

The Golden Egg and Diamond Egg were added on 20 March 2020 and cannot be bought. The Golden Egg unlocks at 660 Stars from a daily streak - up to 180 days - and hatches a guaranteed legendary: Golden Unicorn, Golden Griffin or Golden Dragon. Claim it and your Stars reset; another 660 Stars (the wiki puts the Diamond Egg at 360 consecutive days) gets the Diamond Egg, which hatches a Diamond Unicorn, Griffin or Dragon.

Retired themed eggs, newest first

All of these cost 750 Bucks while they were in the Gumball Machine and are now trade-only. The legendary is listed first.

• •Endangered Egg - 28 February 2026 to 29 August 2026. Sea Turtle; Pangolin, Blue Whale; Mexican Wolf, Black-Footed Ferret; Kakapo, Black Rhino; Galapagos Sea Lion, Black Tiger. A four-egg bundle was also sold for 99 Robux.
• •Aztec Egg - 15 August 2025 to 28 February 2026. Temple Friend; Onza, Quetzalcoatl; Water Opossum, Ehecatl; Chanekeh; Tree Frog. The Royal Aztec Egg (8 to 22 August 2025, 15 Temple Trek currency) had the same pets with no commons and a 6% legendary chance.
• •Moon Egg - 7 February 2025 to 15 August 2025. Sunglider; Starmite, Dimension Drifter; Zeopod, Puptune; Moonpine; Snorgle. The Royal Moon Egg (4 to 14 February 2025) had the same pool at 6% legendary and was bought with 5 event currency, one hidden on the map per day.
• •Garden Egg - 24 May 2024 to 31 January 2025. Mushroom Friend; Skunk, Rosy Maple Moth; Blue Jay, Praying Mantis; Weevil; Mole.
• •Desert Egg - 25 January 2024 to 24 May 2024. Criosphinx; Roadrunner, Vulture, Cactus Friend; Thorny Devil, Deathstalker Scorpion; Gila Monster, Oryx. The Royal Desert Egg (23 January 2024, Sphinx's Solution event, find all 12 statues) had better odds.
• •Urban Egg - 24 August 2023 to 25 January 2024. Gargoyle; Seagull, Black Kite, Billy Goat; Toy Poodle, Alley Cat; Rock Pigeon, Indian Leopard; Cockroach, Mongoose, Tawny Frogmouth.
• •Danger Egg - 8 June 2023 to 24 August 2023. Spinosaurus; Lammergeier, Puffer Fish, Owlbear; Poison Dart Frog, Blue Ringed Octopus; Borhyaena Gigantica, Hippo; Mosquito, Piranha, Angler Fish.
• •Southeast Asia Egg - 2 March 2023 to 8 June 2023. Tree Kangaroo; Black Macaque, Komodo Dragon, Naga Dragon; Tarsier, Binturong; Banded Palm Civet, Gecko; Malayan Tapir, Maleo Bird, Yellow-lipped Sea Krait.
• •Japan Egg - 8 September 2022 to 2 March 2023. Maneki-Neko; Spider Crab, Trapdoor Snail, Baku; Koi Carp, Leopard Cat, Red Crowned Crane; Tanuki, Ibis; Sado Mole, Rhino Beetle.
• •Woodland Egg - 17 March 2022 to 8 September 2022. Hawk; Salamander, Fallow Deer; Woodpecker, Pine Marten; Red Fox; Red Cardinal.

• •Ocean Egg - 16 April 2021 to 19 August 2021. Its legendaries were the Octopus and the Shark.
• •Fossil Egg - 10 October 2020 to 16 April 2021. T-Rex; Deinonychus, Dodo; Dilophosaurus, Pterodactyl, Sabertooth; Stegosaurus, Glyptodon, Woolly Mammoth; Ground Sloth, Triceratops.
• •Aussie Egg - 29 February 2020 to 10 October 2020. Turtle; Koala, Kangaroo; Emu, Frog; Australian Kelpie; Dingo.
• •Farm Egg - 22 November 2019 to 29 February 2020. Owl; Turkey, Crow; Pig, Llama; Silly Duck, Cow; Drake.
• •Jungle Egg - 31 August 2019 to 22 November 2019. Parrot; Platypus; Rhino, Crocodile; Capybara, Brown Bear.
• •Safari Egg - 5 July 2019 to 31 August 2019, the first themed egg. Giraffe; Lion; Hyena, Flamingo; Wild Boar, Elephant.

The pattern is obvious once it is laid out: the oldest eggs produced the pets that dominate trading today. The Farm Egg's Owl and Crow, the Safari Egg's Giraffe, the Jungle Egg's Parrot, the Aussie Egg's Turtle and Kangaroo and the Fossil Egg's T-Rex and Dodo all left the game in 2019-2021, and supply has only fallen since. Event and one-off eggs

• •Admin Abuse Egg - 7 March 2026, given free during Admin Abuse. No commons; 5% legendary from a pool that includes the Golden and Diamond trio, Ancient Dragon, Three Blind Mice, Sushi Penguin and Velocirooster.
• •Christmas Egg - 14 December 2019. Came from Christmas Gifts (30% chance from a 1,440-Gingerbread gift, 80% from a 4,300 Golden Gift). Robin, Wolf, Polar Bear, Swan, Arctic Fox and the Arctic Reindeer.
• •Zodiac Minion Egg - 16 June 2022, two weeks only, from Gru's Lab. 100% legendary.
• •Wrapped Doll - 27 July 2023, 900 Bucks, hatches an uncommon Doll (Dylan, River or Pistachio).
• •Christmas Future Egg - 7 December 2023, from the Frostclaw's Fury minigame; always an Eggnog Dog.
• •Blue Egg, Pink Egg and the Easter 2020 Egg - pre-pets or early-event eggs; the Easter 2020 Egg always hatched a Chick.
• •Starter Egg - free on your first join, untradable, a Dog or a Cat.

Hatch it, trade for it, or buy it?

Three honest cases.

The pet is from a live egg and you don't mind which legendary you get. Hatch. At 3-4% a legendary takes about 25-33 eggs on average, which is a lot of Bucks and tasks, but it is free of real money and the Royal Egg's 8% roughly halves that.

The pet is from a retired egg. The egg no longer drops, so it is trading or buying. Trading means finding someone with the pet who wants what you have; our Adopt Me pet values guide explains how demand, Neon and Mega Neon change what a fair trade looks like.

You want one specific pet, now. That is what buying is for.
