Some brainrots are everywhere. Others have only a few dozen copies in the entire game. This guide ranks the rarest brainrots in Steal a Brainrot by exist count — and explains why each one is so hard to get.
Read this first: exist counts are community-tracked and approximate. The in-game counter has been bugged through 2026, and the developer (SpyderSammy) confirmed in Update 53 that most counts are currently inaccurate. Every number below is "as of June 2026" with a "~". Anyone quoting you an exact count to justify a price is probably scamming you — cross-check on sabexistcount.com, bloxycounts, or existcount.42web.io.
How brainrot rarity actually works
Rarity comes from three things: spawn chance on the Red Carpet conveyor, exist count, and how it was obtained. The tier ladder, lowest to highest, is:
Common → Rare → Epic → Legendary → Mythic → Brainrot God → Secret → OG
The rarest brainrots are almost never natural conveyor spawns — they were event-exclusive, made in a limited-time Fuse or Craft Machine, and then became permanently unobtainable when that machine left.

The single lowest count belongs to the Hopilikalika egg (~16) — but that's an egg, not a brainrot you can place, so we leave it out of the main ranking.
"OG" vs "Secret" — what makes the top tier
The four OG brainrots (Strawberry Elephant, Meowl, Skibidi Toilet, and the Headless Horseman after its buff) are special because they're based on real memes rather than AI-generated ones, and their spawn rates are effectively lottery-tier. What a rare brainrot is worth
Value tracks rarity plus income, and a mutation (Rainbow, Diamond) can multiply a brainrot's worth several times over. Because counts and prices move every week, check the live numbers on our Steal a Brainrot value list and per-brainrot pages like Strawberry Elephant and Meowl rather than trusting a static screenshot.
